Conductor Erich Kunzel died on September 1st at the age of 74. Kunzel led the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra since its inception, and recorded many compilations of film music pieces for the Telarc label - not only the popular standards but less frequently performed pieces like John Addison's main title from Sleuth (on the CD Chiller), Bruce Broughton's suite from Moonwalker and the unused Goldsmith song "Bless This House" from Poltergeist -- Carol Anne's theme, with lyrics by John Bettis (the latter two pieces were featured on the CD Fantastic Journey).
